Development help available, agency boss tells Socorroans

The state is serious about making the economic development tools it has at its disposal available to local communities and businesspeople, says the man in charge of the effort.

Rick Homans, secretary of the state Economic Development Department, told a small group of Socorro public officials and businesspeople Monday at City Hall that growing the state's economy and the economies of local communities is a priority for Gov. Bill Richardson.
