Albuquerque Tribune Online: "Intel loves the county for the tax breaks it has provided, allowing the company to save money on improvements to its Rio Rancho facility, which employs 5,300 and carries a payroll of $399 million.

State and county officials hope Intel's application for a $16 billion industrial revenue bond from Sandoval County - thought to be the largest such bond ever - signals that it wants the relationship to continue.

'Intel is keeping its pledge to New Mexico,' said State Economic Development Secretary Rick Homans.

On Friday, Intel announced its request for the $16 billion bond package, saying it will help attract new Intel projects to the Rio Rancho plant over the next 15 years."
